Jamaican Black Castor Oil Hair Mask by The Body Shop: How It Slayed my 3B Curls
If you're a 3(A,B,C) or 4(A,B,C) curly girl looking for the best hair product to enhance and moisturize your curls, look no further! I wanted to tell you all about a hair product I recently discovered that has completely altered the way I care for my curly hair.
Let me first explain my hair type and path. I have 3B curls, which are spirals that are tight and defined but susceptible to a lot of frizz and poor definition. A few years ago, I explored the curly girl method, but it took a bunch of time and the outcomes were the same (dissapointing hair!). I still follow the method's tenet of utilizing sulfate and silicone-free products, but I do not follow all of its other guidelines.
So, when I got this "Jamaican Black Castor Oil Hair Mask for Intense Moisture" from The Body Shop a few weeks ago I was a little skeptical. I googled half of the ingredients list and it has a lot of nourishing ingredients such as: Black castor oil from Jamaica, vegan keratin protein and Community Fair Trade shea butter from Ghana.(One thing I absolutely love and value about The Body Shop is their full sustainability and care about fair trade.)
Since this was a gift from a friend who got it for me, I decided to give it a try and I am so freaking glad I did!
The product is simple to apply and spread throughout my hair, and it leaves my curls soft, defined, and frizz-free.
Furthermore, because my hair has a crazy high porosity and easily becomes dehydrated, I love that this mask gives it a boost of hydration and my hair looks more conditioned and restored.
In conclusion, I HIGHLY recommend this hair mask to anyone with curls who wants to enhance their natural hair without having to go through thousands of steps and methods. I couldn't be happier with the results it gaves me.
Give it a shot and see for yourself!
